heaven knows

my life in grey

This is the worse time of every semester. Results time. It's a toot-ing time. It's below my expectation. Damn disappointed!!!! AHHH!!!!!!! So many people failed the subjects that I took. I don't know whether to consider myself lucky or not for my own results. It's still not good to me >< I expected more.

There was a temporary mascot in our FEStival booth today. A black stray dog. Don't know whether it's stray or not cause it has a collar on its neck. But the dog is rather obedient. It ran...I don't know where already. I want back my mascot!!!

Went and give UTAR Taekwondo another try after my last experience in my first year first sem. And.... I tore something. >< More accurately, it's either a muscle or soft tissue that is behind the knee cap. Swt. I can't bend my left knee fully. PAIN!!! I don't know since when I got so used to the painful feeling, that it just doesn't show on my face. Cool or not Kelvin? Hahaha. But the fact is, it's pain.

FEStival coming soon. Come and support us people. Though it might sound corny, but we hope it will be fun. Lol. We're doing all we can..seriously. Lol.

Holidays are OVER. ><

I finally got myself back to church, against the odds. It's good to be back in the presence of the Lord. And I made a drastic decision. I'm going for church camp!! Been wanting to go but thanks to the late release of my timetable, I didn't manage to sign up. And so, 3 of us youth will be heading to Frasers on friday night. The first thing that I said when I heard that we're driving up so late at night was, "I don't want to see anything that I'm not suppose to on that night" Yeah, I've heard loads of things, so I don't want the first hand experience. Hope the camp experience will be good cause I've never been to Frasers. See how sad it is?

Start of a new semester, start of a new level of craziness. This semester is packed with classes from Monday to Friday as usual. Morning till 6pm in the evening. Yeap, they're looking forward to some of us jumping off the highest building of the campus and make the headlines.

All that aside. I just visited my grandma just now. She's in the old folks home now. Just recently sent her there. Feel so sad. Apparently now they call it a better term...its called a Retirement Home. What difference does it make?? Goodness. It still is a place where people leave their parents there and never bother about them again. But, it's going to be different for my grandma. At least the place is somewhat near. So, guess I'll be dropping by once in a while after classes. Seeing her eyes light up when she sees us is just a good sight. And I bet it's a happy moment for her as well. But seeing the look on her face as we leave, it just breaks my heart to leave but I have no choice. Sigh. Will make it a point to visit her more often. Don't want to regret it later on in my life.

Orientation for May 08 intake is...not over yet officially. Lol. Only the registration and mass call is over, which is my part. Can finally breathe a sigh of relief after so many days and weeks of rushing and worrying for the past few days. And the outcome is..... the president himself commented that my committee did a very good job. Wootz!!! Couldn't have done it better myself especially when we were lacking of so many people. Fantastic and not to mention crazy bunch of fellas I have in my committee. Thank God for that....

Year 2 is starting next week. With it, comes another whole new session of worrying. The worrying never ceases. Hoping for some new refreshing spirit in me or else I would be idea-less and spirit-less the next semester. Also, hoping for what I want for my industrial training.

I just realised that I'm somewhat disconnected from the world. Lol. In a very weird way. Damn...the effects of studying too much. I seriously blame my course for it. I have no idea what's going on around. Like major blur-out. It's gonna be a packed month of May. Sigh...*yawns*. I wanna watch movie and hang around. Sad....

Flu flu o flu. Why are you still here?

I wanna....I wanna..... I wanna..... sleep till the next semester starts. I so need to pirate more movies to watch at home. Lol... Gonna tension soon again. Orientation...results!!! Sighs... Any nice movies to recommend??

*sniff**sniff*

I'm back from Singapore.

Just got back today evening. I don't know how to put it and whether to say that it was really a good holiday or not. It is a holiday that I have not been on for a long long time. But all the rushing is not really what I wanted and what I looked forward to. It added physical stress to my body. So yeah, it was bad in a way.

But, I shopped. Like really shopped. Of course, I did not do massive splurging but I did a fair bit of shopping. Didn't managed to go to lots of places. And....Singapore is filled with hot and good looking guys. Especially in Orchard Road. Haha.... Saw a lot of gay dudes too. I would say that 70-80% of the girls there smoke their lungs out. To think that the price of cigarattes would make them stop. Yeesh...

Definitely an eye opener trip this time. I haven't been to Singapore for more than 10 years. Major development going on there. The roads are super clean and nice. People are friendly. You don't have to walk as though everyone is out to kidnap you. So yeah, the city's pretty cool. Not to mention the clean and always equipped with toilet paper toilets.

Thanks to all the rushing and walking from 11am to 11pm continuously, I got sick in Singapore itself. Thank God it was the last night that I got the fever. And I'm still having the fever and flu and cough and all now.

Level of satisfaction : 50%

Some cute and colourful looking stairs. Credits for creativity.

Definitely something we don't get here in our local McD...Sausage McGriddles. And they have Mc Cafe too.

My yummy beef stew soup. *nyam**slurps*
And this is Raffles hotel...place where the rich people stay.
Lifestyle...of the rich and famous.
This hotel is so high class that even their toilets must be up to standard. Look at the basin.
This is Habour Front.... And opposite it is Sentosa Island which I didn't get to go but I can see the Merlion from all the way across anyway. Remember we studied in history that Singapore is a major and important international port? Yeah...this is it. Where all the cargo ships dock.
Another super advanced toilet which requires you to press that thingy at the side for the glass door to slide open. Malaysia so has to learn this.

And this is Clarke Quay. The place where the night life lives. Lol... Much much better than KL. They even have their own bungee jump.
There's more across the river but I didn't manage to get any pics cause there was loads of people around. So yeah...And this is what the Filipino maids do on a Sunday. They help other filipino maids do pedicure or manicure to get extra cash.

Every Sunday, Orchard Road is fully packed with Filipinos. Especially in front of Lucky Plaza. Go figure why. But yeah....its a whole mob of them there.

And I got myself a custom made teddy =D

And instead of our local Malaysian's "I Need House", they have....
In Orchard Road, they have this too.....Is it a statue or a real life guy???

Answer is: its a real guy..

Alrights...I have to go back to coughing my lungs out now.

Ahh....finally blogging for the first time from my laptop =D Happy...Although I don't have much time to fiddle with it, but I managed to get in a few things or so. Will fiddle with it more when I get back from Singapore. Yes..I'm heading to Singapore tomorrow. Am fighting not to sleep but my eyes and my melatonin is not obeying its owner. Stupid betrayers. Lol...

I watched "what happens in vegas" it was hillarious. Recommended to watch. Typical household stupid arguments and setup but still utterly hillarious. A good show to watch to relax your nerves and just sit back and enjoy. Suitable for....me. Haha....

I'm....just....downright......SLEEPY now!!!

After 3 miserable weeks of finals, of course, we must party after that. Hehe. And that was what me and a few of my uni friends did. We had dinner, loitered around after that, then went to sanctuary and ice bar. And for real, the Ice Bar was freaking cold!!! It was -15 degrees man. But of course, we wore winter jackets before going in. Me and Steph could feel the coldness going up our skirts. Wtf!! Steph couldn't take it and walked out after 5 minutes or so. I stayed in to get the drink. My hands were numb...close to getting frost bite. Lol..And it was so cold that we exhaled mist. How cool is that? Cool in everyway. The dude making drinks inside the Ice Bar was wearing ear muffs. Haha... Worth a try. Seriously.

This was us without Steph, in Ice Bar. Its rather dark inside as you can see, so can't really see our faces clearly. Okay, only I look like I was freezing my ass off. I was jumping around in the bar. And I realise something....my legs look perfectly thin in this pic =D Unfortunately they're not =( Apart from that, we practiced "cat walking" in the Curve at midnight. Haha...

This is Chia, trying to so called be young again. Lol... And if he sees this pic here, he'll say "omg, my f***king face!!!" Haha... We did this after all the shops were closed and the shopping mall's lights were going to be offed too. Lol...

Look at this pic. Tempting or not? Looks delicious right? It is!!! Hahaha.... Its ice with a flavour of passion fruit on the top and dragon fruit at the bottom. Absolutely awesome and can only be found in Wangsa Maju. I had a craving for this since the start of finals and I finally got it today just before going for meeting. Finding a parking there is a bitch. This is what you would crave for when the weather is blazing hot like the past few weeks. While I was looking for a parking, I saw this fat guy wearing a shirt that says "You bring the buns, I got the hot dog" with an arrow pointing down to his damn crotch. Goodness. And the guy wasn't even good looking. I can instantaneously vomit blood with bile juice and all sorts of crap.

My laptop is coming tomorrow. =D Happy happy...finally got it. It's exceptionally fast though judging by their notice that it might take 2 to 3 weeks. I just ordered on Sunday. Fast eh? Hehe...

Well, I'm signing off for the moment. Need to catch up on my sleep. I'm still sleep deprived. Haha...

Finals is officially finale!!!! wootz!!! Ended with Metabolic Biochemistry paper today. Dreadful but I survived. Now I'll wait and see if I truly survived it. Oh well, did my best. Had the least amount of sleep in the past few days. Imagine going to sleep but having all the facts and biochemistry pathways plus enzymes plus activators plus names and shit run through your head. Its equivalent to no sleep at all. Feeling zombie-ish.

This morning, while I was zombie-ing and doing my studying, my friend asked me to go watch a videoclip in youtube. It was titled "Animal Idol". First of all, the host introduced himself as hamster seacrest. Then, there were all sorts of funny sounds made by cats and dogs and finally...I was thinking, "what kind of a rat is that?". FYI...it was a hamster that squeeked all the way. See what damage biochemistry has done to us?? Its that severe that we watched Animal Idol in youtube.

Now, I'm gonna need lots and lots of.... sleep + pigging out + some shopping + loitering = holidays

My laptop is on da way. YES!!! I still want my purple colour =( Sad I didn't get the purple one. But nevermind. I'll just get the sticker to stick on the casing. Yes...purple =D

Am hyper and tired and hyper and tired now....Slight breath of what I call liberation air before I start another stretch of semester with 6 freaking subjects. ><
